you can never go wrong with...

...a classic white button down.

In my previous post, you can see that I paired the white blouse shown below, under a simple black sweater. Adorable and super comfy!

If you love that look, you can head over to www.gabrielas-closet.com to snag one of your own!

I have been saying for a while now, that I'm going to get out to Brooklyn more, and last night I finally made it happen. My sister's fiancĂ© (that is still so weird to say) is good friends with John Oates. Yes, THE John Oates from the incredible duo Hall and Oates. He invited me to join them for pre-show dinner and drinks at this charming little mexican(ish) restaurant. Also in attendance below, my good friend Jesse Harris, if you don't know his music, then I would recommend you go directly to iTunes when you finish reading this! John's wife, Kate, my sister Olivia,  Juan, of course and our other friend David (a wine connoisseur!) The food and wine was great, but the show was even better…Brooklyn, I will be seeing you again soon :)

Connecticut in the Fall.

James and I went on a hike in Connecticut last week. It's so good to get out of Manhattan every once in a while, and breathe some fresh air. Stunning!

Current Makeup

Hello Beauties! I bought a few new items I want to share with you....
I'm enjoying Make Up For Ever's products at the moment.
Check 'em out:
I start with their high definition primer #5 for my personal skin tone. #5 is for fair skin tones, it helps illuminate and reduce redness. I love it.

Foundation: I have fair skin, but I use a very slightly darker shade. It's bottle #120

I'm new to using this product but I like it so far. I mix it with my foundation to keep my face moisturized. It's a hydrating serum by Make Up For Ever.

This concealer is awesome! Very heavy duty. It's shade #01 by Benefit

And lastly, powder/cover up by Benefit. The shade name is "Petal" I lightly dust this on over my foundation!

If you're looking for new makeup to try, I hope this helped!
xoxo
